Deryk + Abbey

I’ve known abbey for years, and I know that she’s deserving of a great guy, who is funny, smart, loving and most of all, loves cats as much as she does. Well guess what? She found him, and MORE, in Deryk.
These two tied the knot on Friday, August 29th and EVERY single part of their wedding was absolutely perfect. From the rain minutes before they were about to walk down the isle, to the decorations, the venue, the FLOWER GIRL AND RING BEARER! Everything was as perfect as it could have possibly been.
Wishing these two the best marriage EVER. And lots of babies. Like at least 6. Because JUST LOOK AT THEM!

You guys rock….you never skipped a beat the entire day. These photos are absolutely amazing and I’m not just saying that cause I am the mother of the groom. Your professionalism is above and beyond. I am continually in tears with every photo that I see. Thanks so much for capturing one of the best days of my life. Oh, and thanks so much for making my decision on photos completely impossible. Toni, don’t know who you are but I totally agree….model material. Love these 2 to death and will forever hold these pictures near and dear. Thanks again to Erin and I and the 2 most beautiful people I know. Love you D and Abbs!!

Mike & Stephanie – 8.9.2014

A few teasers of Mike and Stephanie’s wedding this past weekend at the Landmark Center in St. Paul. Probably one of the most beautiful locations we have ever photographed! Their reception was at the St. Paul hotel which was just as beautiful! We had so much fun with Steph and Mike, along with their wedding party and family. Now only if they could have snuck us in their suitcases to Bora Bora this week! Talk about jealous!1234567891011121313a14151617181920

Charli turns 5

When I was younger, I always wanted two kids, a boy first and then a little girl.. this way, her brother could protect her when the boys were picking on her in school. Well, 5 years ago that wish came true and I had my daughter. Still can’t believe my little girl is 5 now! I know one thing, her big brother Max is going to have his work cut out for him keeping the boys away from her when she’s older! She’s not just a cutie, she has the sweetest personality and loves to make people laugh. Happy Birthday Charli!

Absolutely beautiful photos! Erin…she’s a natural and photogenic! I can’t believe she’s 5 already!

goodbye for now my sweet girl…

12 years ago, we became a family of 3 when we welcomed our sweet Jada into our family. She was our first “baby”, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring her home. She was 8 weeks old, and the cutest little thing we had ever seen. We fell in love with her instantly! Jason and I had 4 years to bond with her before we had our first child, Max. We were so glad that we had those 4 years alone with her, because as most of you know, once you welcome children into your lives the fur babies no longer get all of the attention. But that was alright because from then on, Jada and Max were inseparable!

She went everywhere with our family, and that was very important to us as we wanted to make sure we spent quality time with her since we both worked full time and were gone most of the day. As most of you boxer owners know, they are high maintenance dogs and need a LOT of attention, and follow you around constantly. There were times that I would literally trip over her, because every time I would turn around she was right there. I used to get so annoyed with it, but let me tell you I would do anything to have her here again and standing right next to me.

Today we had to say goodbye to our little girl Jada and I never imagined it would be this painful. I feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest, and the tears won’t stop flowing. I feel like I lost a child, as silly as that may sound. I know the pain will get easier over time but for now I have to deal with the pain day by day. My kids also just lost their best friend, and that is hard to deal with as well.

Goodbye for now my sweet girl, we will see you later.

Your precious and beautiful boxer had a beautiful and thoughtful family, who loved her very much!!!!!

Sherri Myers Wray - July 15, 2014 - 3:25 pm

your Jada reminds me a great deal of my Michelle… I have trained dogs for over 45 years and owned boxers almost all of my life. They are a part of the family, they don’t know how to be anything but family members. Your children have been given a gift that will last a lifetime. I have a photo on my refrigerator of Ace (the first Boxer I remember) and I am over 60 years old. Whether right or wrong, and as hard as it is… I will tell you the greatest tribute you can give to Jada is to find room in your hearts for another Boxer. There are no two a like, but there is also no such thing as a boxer that doesn’t want a family like yours to grow with… your children learn lessons we as parent cannot provide about compassion and humanity through their pets. I am so sorry for your loss but rejoice in the joy Jada provided you!

I loved looking at all your photos of your beautiful baby & your family iy truly shows how very much you loved your Dog. I have Black Lab rescue that just turned eleven yesterday 7/-14/14 that I love with all my heart. I am seventy three & disabled so I can’t seem to get into a snapshot with her as she is so big & she has Arthritis & doesn’t want to be cornered very long . Plus she hates a camera ..I
Try to take pictures with my IPad but she even knows what I am doing with this. Your photos tell a complete story of Jada so very well you will enjoy looking back on them for many years to come. You have my deepest sympathy, and love I too
have lost a very loved dog I know how badly it hurts.

I came across your tribute to Jada through a friend at Legacy Boxer Rescue. Your Jada looked just like my sweet Kashi girl that I had for 10 years. I was there when she was born and raised her like my own daughter. I lost her a year and a half ago to cancer. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I understand what you are going through and will keep you in my thoughts. Hang on to all those wonderful memories of your sweet girl.

I feel for you and your family, I have a boxer her name is Tess. Its easy to say how silly somethings are that you do or say about them. But one thing you said they are very busy bodies, loyal, great with kids and they steal your heart. Im sorry for your loss Rest in peace angel.

Beautiful story, rejoice that you captured Jada with your children to remind them of the bond of a lifetime. I rescued my male boxer pup @7wks old (now 2yro). He chewed like an alligator, got numerous “running upstairs complaints” stuck on my apartment door, until my lease was up & we moved into a house. Many people said put that dog up for adoption he’s going to get you put out. I worked w/him many hours daily training, got him proper chew toys & loved him like he was my son. He out grew the chew stage, became a fearless protector , great w/kids but a watch dog at night. Ten months ago a burglar tried to enter my sliding glass door (2am while I was home alone) w/my then 5 mo old grandson. The would be burglar was never caught by police but “Blaze” the rescue boxer had pieces of his clothing, pants & shirt with a blood trail on my back deck. I now have my 2nd rescue boxer whom is 2yro female , sleeps at foot of my bed while Blaze sleeps by his trusty spot by glass door. I didn’t mean to intrude on your story, but your family has another boxer out there that needs you. Jada taught you how rewarding it is to take a chance. Prayers for you & thank you for being a wonderful pet owner !
